In the unlikely event of bankruptcy by any regulated firm in the UK, the FCA (through the Financial Services Compensation Scheme) guarantees repayment of 100% of the first £50,000 per client or its equivalent in other currencies.
KerfordUK clients may be eligible to put a claim into the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) in the event that the firm is unable to meet its financial obligations. Eligibility depends on the status and the nature of the claim. Further details can be found at the FCSC website.
Funds, whether they are classified as company funds or client funds, are kept in one of the safest top tier banks. All client funds are kept in a Client Segregated Account at HSBC. These funds cannot be used for supporting KERFORDUK's operating cost.
All firms regulated by the FCA have to meet strict financial standards, including capital adequacy requirements. Companies are required to submit financial reports to the regulator on a regular basis. The FCA has the right to fine companies and/or terminate a company's regulatory status for violations. KERFORDUK regularly submits statements of its solvency to the FCA, along with its annual audited financial statements, annual audited returns of information and a report from the auditors assessing our compliance with the FCA client money rules.
